What we do

We want to create better mutual health for humans and horses
It is well known that interacting with horses can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and provide a sense of purpose and companionship for people. Programs that incorporate equine-assisted therapies offer many therapeutic benefits for individuals.
We wondered, could we create a space where our horse partners would benefit from us as much as we benefit from them?
So, we began to focus a little bit less on actual programming and a little bit more on building a harmonious environment for people and for ponies.
We wanted to make a space where encounters between horses and humans could become opportunities to learn from each other in a cooperative way and to mutually grow each other's confidence, connection and calm.
Much of what we do is centered around the idea that if we focus our energies on the betterment of the animals in our care, we will feel better & be better human beings too.
By creating an environment where horses & humans thrive together we encourage physical, mental, and emotional well-being for all.
We offer equine enrichment activities & group exercises, education in proper horse care practices and host clinicians whose training methods align with our mission.
We also provide a beautiful, relaxing space for variety of human enrichment activities such as yoga and still life drawing sessions.
We endeavor to be a place where we can encourage appreciation of the beauty and wonder of horses and where we can offer community and connection to our human participants at the same time.
The (side) Mission of Black Cat Rescue
We are dedicated to the protection, rehabilitation, and rehoming of (mostly) black cats, which are often overlooked in shelters.
Shelters are overpopulated. Black cats are often the last to be adopted, resulting in overcrowded shelters and higher euthanasia rates. Part of our mission is to ensure that all the black cats in our care receive the same love and opportunities as their more colorful counterparts till the day they find their furr-ever homes.
