Chowder: The lovebug
The biggest personality
Chowder is a mischievous little pony with a knack for getting into trouble. His antics bring laughter and joy to everyone at Black Cat Ranch. Catch him snoozing in the sun or playing tag around the ranch— this little dude teaches us that love knows no bounds.
Billy & Elliot: The super duo
The bestest boys
These 2 beefy boys are the sturdiest and most trustworthy dudes we know. They are the very best of friends. They are both great huggers, are happy to be groomed and happy to hit the trail with our less experienced riders. They are also big time lovers of any sort of treats.
Birdie: The social butterfly
Birdie has always loved making new friends
With her gentle nature and loving disposition, Birdie helps teach our rescue kittys how to socialize with other cats and humans. Birdie excels at fostering connections and building trust, which is crucial for the rehabilitation of our more feral kittens. Through her interactions, she imparts a sense of security and companionship, enabling the kittens to thrive in their new environment. Shes pretty good with humans too!
Cheeto the fabulous Mustang
Our newest herd member
Cheeto is a cautious but curious Mustang. Though standoffish at first with new people, with the right combination of patience and treats he is easy to win over. He loves trail rides and sniffing everything. We think he could be a great search and rescue horse!
Atlas: A titan of patience & perserverance
One of our finest instructors here at the ranch
Atlas is a special, sensitive boy. He selects who he wants to spend his time with. He teaches us a lot about quieting our bodies and our minds before we approach him, he's got quite a life story too! Ask us one day about his time living in a chicken coop!
Sinceree
Our beautiful painted lady
A sassy gal who wants to work with you. She enjoys the company of everyone she meets. She's sweet and sensitive and would do just about anything for a German horse muffin. She is the friendliest mare in our herd and would love to meet you!
Shadow
A Morgan horse with a heart of gold
Shadow loves attention. He gives the very best horse hugs and usually prefers the company of humans over most of his horse friends. You'll find him hanging out by the barn or wandering around in the shade with his friend, Chowder.
Presley
He has the softest eyes
Presley is a sweet and fancy boy. He isn't a horse that can be ridden, but he can sure stand for a bath or some good grooming! He's a big fan of suds and has the shiniest coat. He's also just plain sweet and loving & is a favorite here at the ranch.
